FREE YOGA WARM UP EXERCISE BELOW TO INCORPORATE INTO YOUR SUMMER "INSECTS" LESSON PLANS..
Namaste! Meaning the heart in me honors the Heart in you...Below you will find a yoga warm up exercise to do with your children at home or in a classroom.. This warm up usually follows with the yoga story "Andy the Ant" which is found in my book: "Stories That Come Alive Through Yoga"..This story as with all the stories in my book are kid friendly stories which include yoga poses to follow along with... GARDEN WARM UP FOR INSECT THEME
1. Buzzing Bee: Sitting in easy pose: Follow buzzing bee as it flies around your head to loosen your neck muscles. Can make buzz breath Breathe in and out through teeth making buzzing breath.
2. Sprinkler: Sitting in easy pose: Put your hands on your shoulders and then twist the body front right to left and back while making sprinkler sound if you like with your breath
3. Blooming Flower: In easy pose place your fingers behind your head. Inhale and the petals open. Exhale and petals close by bringing elbows in and down towards the ground
